Cotswold Way, 2009

Cotswold Way (UK National Trail), 102 miles, 5 walking days, November 2009

Bath – Sodbury – Dursley – Crickley Hill – Winchcombe – Chipping Camden

I walked this 102-mile UK National Trail solo in late autumn 2009, starting at Bath and walking north.  The walk was characterised by good views of the Severn Estuary; walking through old battle grounds; quite a lot of rain and heavy mud; getting lost in fog, twice; spotting and hearing a steam train; peacocks and owls (not at the same time); and lost Leki trekking poles in Winchcombe – my best poles!
